New year, new European Social Innovation Competition!
Join us on 25th February in Amsterdam for the launch of the 2016 European Social Innovation Competition, where we will be introducing our brand-new theme. This year we will be looking for socially innovative responses to the refugee crisis and solutions that harness the opportunities that migrants coming to Europe can bring.
We've got an inspiring and exciting agenda lined up for the day where you'll be able to to get to know some of Europe's brightest social innovators and hear from experts on a highly relevant and important topic.

- Principles of Human Centred Design. An introduction to the theory of Human Centred Design in social innovation
- Mapping opportunities. An exercise in mapping the potential solutions and opportunities for refugees and migrants in their new home countries
- A clash of cultures: how to embrace socially innovative practices. Lessons in how to foster social innovation within existing institutions and organisations
- Breaking barriers, building partnerships. Insight into the power of cross-sector collaborations and cross-border partnerships, and why these relationships are so important for social innovation to be successful

Directions: The venue can be reached by car, nearby train station, tram. From Amsterdam central station: Approximately 15 minutes by bus/car/train.
By train: Trains run regularly from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Amsterdam Centraal station. From there, take tram no. 26 in Ijburg direction to Kattenburgerstraas station stop.
