Description

We kindly ask you to register for Europeana Aggregator Forum Spring 2019, hosted by Europeana and Riksantikvarieämbetet (Swedish National Heritage Board). This will allow us to better organise your stay in Stockholm on 14 & 15 October.

Below some important information with regards to the meeting.

Agenda
The programme of the Europeana Aggregators Forum meeting will cover the following topics:

14 October 14:30 - 18:00

  • General Assembly: review of accreditation status of aggregators, presenting new candidates for accreditation, follow up training plan for aggregators, EAF activity plan 2020
  • Lightning talks: We invite aggregators to submit topics for lightning talks. Each lightning talk is not longer than 5 minutes. Please add your topics to the Google sheet.
  • Workshop / breakout session on Cross-domain interoperability
  • Dinner (at own cost)

15 October 9:30 - 15:30

  1. Introduction to IIIF
  2. What is needed to deliver IIIF content to Europeana (mapping, format etc)
  3. A national example on working with IIIF
  4. Fun with IIIF

Venue
The meeting will be held in the Riksantikvarieämbetet (The Swedish National Heritage Board). This organisation is located at the Storgatan 41.

Transport and directions

Stockholm Arlanda Airport is located 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Stockholm City.

The Arlanda express train takes you from Arlanda Airport to the city center. The platform is easily accessible, underneath the arrival terminals. Departure: every 15 minutes (for most of the day). Travel time: 20 minutes.

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches departs every 10-15 minutes between Arlanda Airport and the City Terminal (located next to the Central Station). Travel time to Arlanda: 35-45 minutes. Buses also run to Liljeholmen via Karolinska, Fridhemsplan, and Södermalm (50 min) and to Brommaplan via Kista and Sundbyberg. (54 min).

Commuter trains (operated by the public transport company in Stockholm, SL) to Stockholm departs twice an hour from Arlanda Central Station in Sky City. Total travel time between the airport and Stockholm Central Station is 43 minutes.

There are also several companies operating buses from Arlanda, for example, Flixbus and Nettbus.

Bromma Stockholm Airport, Skavsta Airport and Västerås Airport

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches operates all airports, with departures timed with arrivals and departures at the airports. Travel time: 20 minutes (Bromma), 80 minutes (Skavsta) and 80 minutes (Västerås).

Social Programme
On the evening of 14 October we would like to have dinner (at own costs) at a nice location in Stockholm.

Travel Reimbursement

One representative per accredited aggregator gets reimbursed for travel costs up to at least 275 EUR (no matter if you work for an EU funded project or not). For your convenience a hotel is already booked by Europeana from 14 till 15 October at Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm. For one representative per accredited aggregator the hotel room is paid. Others will pay with the hotel (~123 EUR for the night).

We follow the Europeana reimbursement procedure so you will get reimbursed by the Europeana Foundation.
