Event description

Description

We kindly ask you to register for Europeana Aggregator Forum Spring 2019, hosted by Europeana at the KB, National Library of the Netherlands. This will allow us to better organise your stay in The Hague on 3 & 4 April.

Below some important information with regards to the meeting.

Agenda
The programme of the Europeana Aggregators Forum meeting will cover the following topics:

  • General Assembly
  • Lightening talks
  • Europeana strategy 2025: recommendations from the aggregators
  • Meeting of the advocacy task force
  • Aggregator training: enriching metadata for Europeana
  • Ingest clinic
  • Data quality strategy
  • Metadata component of the Europeana Publishing Framework

Venue
The meeting will be held in the KB, National Library of the Netherlands. This organisation is located in the same building in which Europeana Foundation has her office, at the Prins Willem Alexanderhof (no 5), right outside The Hague Central Station.

Transport and directions
Many of you will be travelling to the Netherlands by plane. The venue in The Hague can easily be reached by train, bus and metro from Amsterdam Airport ‘Schiphol’. From the airport, take the train to The Hague Central Station (‘Centraal Station’). Direct trains go four times per hour and take you to The Hague in about 30-40 minutes. Price for a ticket is € 8.90 and can be purchased at the yellow ticket machines of the National Railways (NS, Nationale Spoorwegen). Information about timetables etc. can be found at the website of the NS.

From the The Hague Central Station Hall turn right. Leave the train station through the exit next to ‘Albert Heijn’. Cross the Anna van Buerenplein; the National Archives are at your right hand side. For the KB, continue past the Archives to the left and walk towards the revolving doors marked with yellow KB logo.

Transport within the city of The Hague (buses and trams) is organised by HTM; to plan your journey, please consult their website.

Registration
When you arrive on 3 April, please register with us at the registration desk at the Foyer of the National Library on the first floor. The Foyer can be reached from both the National Archives and the KB: just take the stairs to the first floor and come find us at the statue of Erasmus. You will receive a badge and conference folder containing the programme and other information. Please remember to bring your Eventbrite ticket to make registration as smooth as possible.

If you need any assistance, please call Gina van der Linden at: +316 4257 3121.

Social Programme
On the evening of 3 April we would like to have dinner (at own costs) at a nice location in The Hague.
