Event description

Description

We are witnessing an exciting time in the history of synthetic biology. Wide recognition of the field's tranformative potential over the past decade has inspired the emergence of a remarkable number of young synthetic biology initiatives and communities around the globe. By what principles, standards, and interactions can they best realise their potential in making the world a better place?

For the third time following our Symposia in London (2016) and Madrid (2017), we will bring together an enthusiastic international group of young synthetic biologists (embracing undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdocs) for 1.5 days packed with stimulating talks, group discussions, and speed networking. Our overall goal remains unchanged: the development of a vision for the young synthetic biology community. Our special focus this year will the the question how to move towards a circular bioeconomy using synthetic biology.

Please check the event website for a more detailed schedule (regularly updated as speakers are confirmed).

Please note:
The registration fee covers lunch on October 22nd, coffee breaks, and printed materials.

Names and affiliations of attendees will appear in the conference booklet to facilitate networking.
