Event description

Description

Eva is a Holocaust survivor and the posthomous stepsister of Anne Frank. She'll be giving an emotive talk about her life before and after Auschwitz.

She was born in Vienna in 1929. After Germany annexed Austria in 1938, the family moved to Belgium and then Holland. It was there where Eva met Anne Frank. When the Germans invaded Holland Eva's family went into hiding. They were arrested in 1944 and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

After the Russians liberated Auschwitz, Eva and her mother found out that both her father and brother had died in Mauthausen. She then moved to London in 1951.

Eva is a Trustee of the Anne Frank Trust UK and was awarded an MBE for her services to Education through the Anne Frank Trust.

She's written three books "Eva's Story", "The Promise" and "After Auschwitz".

Eva will be selling signed copies of her books at the event.
