Evaluating Qualitative Research

The purpose of this seminar is to assist participants to gain a theoretical, yet practical, and critical understanding of qualitative inquiry.
Learning Objectives
The session is designed to assist participants to:
· Understand qualitative inquiry purposes approaches and challenges.
· Distinguish amongst a selected variety of qualitative research traditions such as grounded theory, ethnography and human inquiry.
· Understand the stages of research design
· Understand the limitations of the qualitative inquiry.
· Appreciate the nature of validity issues in qualitative inquiry.
· Explore and practise key operational procedures associated with qualitative data gathering.
