Edinburgh Advanced Toastmasters invites you to a workshop with Lou Beaton. Learn skills of evaluation plus how to win an evaluation contest.
About this event
Lou Beaton has been a Toastmaster for nearly 18 years. She loves to help people embrace giving evaluations and to keep growing their skills. Lou has competed in six District 70 Evaluation finals, placing second, third, and winning face-to-face in 2018 and on Zoom in 2020. As well as giving tips and tools for growing and practising evaluation skills, Lou will share tips for evaluation competitors, both face-to-face and online. She has also competed in the finals of the District 70 International Speech contest, the Humorous Speech Contest and twice in Table topics, where she placed second and third.
Lou is a member of four District 70 (Sydney, Australia)clubs - Ingleburn, Menai District, the Exodus Foundation & Stage Time - and is a member of District 115 (South Nevada)Jackpot Speakers & in District 90 (New South Wales, Australia), a member of Thales. Lou lives with her husband Mark in the beachside suburb, Coledale, which is a one-hour drive south of Sydney, Australia. She’s passionate about wildlife friendly gardening, family, entertaining and of course Toastmasters!

What time does the event start?
EAT is located in Edinburgh, Scotland. The club meeting starts at 7:15pm GMT. There will be the usual Toastmasters speeches and evaluations, then a short break. The Evaluation Extravaganza workshop starts at 8:15pm GMT.
