This is an excellent opportunity to create your very own, printed items using beautifully carved wooden blocks. Louise, an experienced block printer and certified tutor with the Indian Block Printing Company, will provide a detailed demonstration and guidance throughout the session.

As part of the workshop, you will gain confidence in the techniques used for block printing and have the opportunity to do plenty of practicing on scrap fabric and paper. Louise will discuss pattern layout, colour combinations, and themes to help you decide on your chosen designs. She will supply everything necessary, including numerous examples to inspire and assist you in getting started. No prior experience or artistic ability is required—only enthusiasm!

This engaging and calming hobby offers a wonderful means to create a stunning and printed items—no one else will ever possess the same one!

Is there parking?

Yes, there is plenty of parking. There is a free car park which is about 5 min walk just outside the RWY (Strand Street). However, this is often very busy. There are plenty of spaces closer by and these can be paid using card or on the Pay By Phone App - the location number is: 59542

Are refunds available?

If you cancel your booking 7 days or more in advance of the event, a refund will be provided.

Where is the workshop held?

The workshop is at my Studio within Ocean Studios at the Royal William Yard, on 1st floor, Studio 18. In the booking confirmation, there will be clear directions to help you find me! As this workshop is taking place in the evening, we meet at the Member's Entrance, it's all explained in the email.

Is the workshop messy?

I provide aprons for you to wear but it's really not a messy form of printing. Feel free to wear clothes that you're comfortable in.

Is there a lift?

Unfortunately, this isn't accessible for this workshop as it's taking place in the evening.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Not at all, all of the resources are provided.
