About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Work with the movements of your body to create large-scale paintings and drawings.

This cumulative evening class celebrates the final weeks of Movements for Staying Alive with an invitation to create large-scale paintings and drawings in Modern Art Oxford’s Upper Gallery. Touching on dis/ability, and the irregularities of our bodies, we will create a collaborative and tactile response to Jane Castree’s new commission, Creativity in Motion, to be displayed in Modern Art Oxford’s Yard. Considering movement as a universal language used to express ideas, needs, and emotions transcending barriers of speaking and writing, we will use our bodies as implements to leave behind a collective impression of our own unique movement possibilities and choreographies.
