Experience a drawing class like no other.
These evening drawing sessions, broadcast live from the Royal Drawing School studios, are an opportunity for students to experience the dynamic and dramatic possibilities of the life room from home. Join students online from across the globe to draw from the model, theatrical sets, dancers, and more, with something new each week. Using a range of drawing practices, our expert tutors will guide you through a series of exercises over the course of each session.
Join us this October for a special live-streamed life drawing session inspired by a classic ghost story led by tutor Fraser Scarfe. Expect a spine-tingling atmosphere drawn from tales of the uncanny, the eerie, and the supernatural — a world of shadows, suspense, and strange encounters.
Working with a live model, we’ll draw scenes shaped by the story’s mood and imagery, enhanced by dramatic lighting, an atmospheric set, soundscape, and varied camera angles. The session will feature a range of dynamic poses and tonal drawing exercises, with guidance on building tension and drama through composition, gesture, and contrast. All levels welcome.
