Ruby Colley – Violin & Electronics
Sam Glazer – Cello
Bringing together strings, field recordings and electronics, Hastings local, Ruby Colley, and cellist, Sam Glazer, will perform music from her album Overheard (2022) and her follow up EP, Underheard (2023).
In the unique surroundings of Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, Ruby will immerse you in sounds of nature while violin, cello, and electronics find their way through the spaces.
Using field recordings, Ruby harnesses the sounds of nature and human structures. She invites listeners to reflect on human structure and its impact on the environment, particularly in the context of the climate crisis.
“She’s one of a range of superlative instrumental artists in England - Colley’s soundscapes are standouts among them all.”
