Description

What can be done to enhance biodiversity on hill farms?

This evening workshop will highlight a range of biodiversity priorities within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and explore the types of management that can be incorporated into hill farms across Scotland to maintain or enhance biodiversity on peatlands, moorlands, woodlands, wetlands and at the sides of rivers and burns.

Please come ready to discuss what biodiversity management you may already be doing on your hill farm, what else you may be interested in doing and what might be constraining you from doing more biodiversity management on your farm.

The workshop is particularly relevant to hill farmers and their advisors and will involve specialists from Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, SRUC's Hill & Mountain Research Centre and the Farm Advisory Service discussing and sharing their experiences with workshop attendees.

Organisation of this event was supported by Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, the Scottish Government's RESAS 2016-21 Strategic Research Programme, and Scotland's Farm Advisory Service (FAS) which is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) co-funded by the EU and Scottish Government.

Tea and coffee will be provided so booking in advance is essential.
