Unfortunately due to the weather conditions we have had to cancel this event. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
When you have signed up you will be asked to sign your child up to individual workshops, which are allocated on a first come first served basis - please check the order confirmation for details.
Free Family Digital Makers Day
Digital making for those aged 15 and under in Sheffield + parents/carers
Workshops will available to choose from in the morning and the afternoon. This year's workshops are to be confirmed but at previous events we have hosted the following activities:
- VEX Robotics
- Make your own Code Bug badge
- Create your own Minecraft world using Raspberry Pi
- Learn to code using Scratch
- Develop your own Mobile App
- Support for Code>Make>Win entries
- Info, tips and hints on digital making and computing careers in Sheffield
Schedule
Please arrive for 10am to sign in to the correct workshops
Morning session: 10.30am-12.30pm
Lunch: 12.30-1.00pm (Please note only light refreshments are available, if you are staying for the whole day please bring lunch)
If attending the afternoon only please arrive for 12:30pm to sign in to the correct workshops
Afternoon session: 1.00-3.00pm

Please note, this is a family event. All those under 16 need to come with a responsible adult aged 18 or over. Facilities and refreshments will be available for parents to relax – but there will also be an opportunity to join in and find out about digital making as well as specific sessions for parents on eSafety.
The Family Digital Makers Day and the Code>Make>Win competition are both part of the Make Learn Share digital making project, which is supported by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Sheffield City Council. Make Learn Share and Code>Make>Win are organised by Sero, a Sheffield company that specialises in creative and digital activities, on behalf of Sheffield City Council.
