Event description

Description

The idea behind the Event Professional Network is bascially, here at Strawberry Lemonade Events, we think Scotland is amazing at putting on world class events however we aren't exactly great at talking (which is strange!) and sharing best practice. So we wanted to change this!

Sian from SLE has worked in corporate events and charity planning for years and feels that the industry could benefit with a wee gab and a drink... and now that's she self employed she got the time!

This is not some naff, sales led networking night. It's purely for people who run events- but ALL events! So if you are a meeting planner or a wedding planner, you organise events in the law firm you work at or you run an international football tournament- get yourselves along.

In the coming weeks we will be unveiling all our speakers but in the meantime it would mean the world to us if you could share this invite, bring along your friends and colleagues as we try and get the events industry talking!

FIRST SPEAKER ANNOUNCED

Amanda Wrathall- Sales and Marketing Director EICC

According to her bio Amanda “heads up the EICC's Sales and Marketing Team” however I can assure you she does much more than that! Amanda has been instrumental in helping me personally in my career, from introductions to long conversaFiona over coffee- Amanda is the perfect speaker to discuss the theme of Mentorship.

SECOND SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT

Norman Gill- COO Street Soccer Scotland

Norman spent 27 years in Banking, working latterly on a wide variety of change programmes including staff engagement and branch transformation. In 2016 he left to set up his own consultancy, CAMOR Consulting, and split his time between banking and social enterprise clients. Earlier this year Norman took up the role of Chief Operating Officer at Street Soccer Scotland and is now using his skills and experience with this fantastic organisation which uses football to address social exclusion. In what he laughably calls his ‘spare time’ Norman continues to operate under CAMOR Consulting and is currently working with 13 other social enterprises on behalf of The Scottish Government and The Hunter Foundation.

Norman is the king of calm and perspective- and pretty much everyone I know could learn a thing or two from him!

THIRD EVENT SPEAKER ANNOUCEMENT

Chloe Gilchrist- Event Designer

Chloé is a Freelance Event & Marketing Manager with over 10 years' experience working both agency and client-side in London & Edinburgh. Prior to going freelance last year, Chloé was predominantly based in-house within busy and complex marketing, communications and business development teams within corporate professional services, most recently for a global asset management consultancy and leading UK law firm, Brodies LLP.

Chloe is an absolute go getter with endless ideas, passion and creativity. Her instagram is insane and utterly binge worthy however what makes her amazing is that she is a powerhouse who is also actually normally and someone who you just want to make friends with!

If this event sounds like something you would like to get involved in in terms of helping out or suggesting speakers email hello@strawberrylemonadeevents.com. We are also looking for a wee bit of the ole' blog content so if you have any thoughts on the events industry then fire it over!

Hopefully See You There!
