Sunday 23 November – The history of Crathes’s Walled Garden

Join us for a talk by Crathes’s Visitor Services Supervisor (and former Archivist and Gardener), exploring over 500 years of history of the Walled Garden, from its creation and design, to how much (and little) it has changed over the years.

Sunday 7 December – Special Christmas-themed tour and tea at Crathes Castle

Enjoy a special tour of the castle, focusing on the history of Christmas in Scotland and the origins of the Christmas tree. The tour will be followed by tea/coffee and a mince pie.

Saturday 7 February – History and conservation of Crathes Castle’s famous painted ceiling – @Sophia Concha

Join us for a talk by Crathes’s Collections Care Supervisor, exploring the history of the painted ceilings – from their creation and style to how the National Trust for Scotland currently look after them.

Price: £20

The talk will start at 11am and will last for roughly 1 hour. The cream tea will begin at 12pm.
