Event with Owen Matthews - Historian & Journalist: Interview & Discussion

Owen Matthews is an esteemed British historian and journalist. Having begun his career as a wartime journalist in Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, Owen later served as the Moscow Bureau Chief for Newsweek. As one of the world's pre-eminent experts on contemporary Russian history and politics, he is the author of numerous books, including Stalin's Children, Glorious Misadventures, and Overreach, among many others.

Owen will join us to give some of his thoughts on the Russia-Ukraine War, the possibility of a negotiated settlement, and the ongoing willingness of Western powers to continue funding Ukraine's war effort. He will take questions from the audience after a short speech.
