EVERY DAY FIRST AID (For those working with or supporting over 65s)
Tue 23 May 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
The Everyday First Aid programme and content is a new and fresh approach to learning first aid. Many of the fears and barriers to actually doing first aid for real have been removed and the key actions in a real emergency have been simplified, made easy to learn, but more importantly, easier to recall if required. All sessions are learner led and very interactive, but more importantly good fun.
What can you expect from our first aid sessions?
> Effective, easy to learn first aid education in a relaxed and informal style.
> Provide relevant first aid skills tailored to the needs of the group.
> Break down the barriers to helping others.
> Build the confidence and willingness to help in a first aid emergency.
> Receive a pack that covers the skills learned and will be awarded a certificate of learning upon completion. (However this certificate is not a work base qualification)
> Delivered by experienced Red Cross trained educators.
In Somerset The Red Cross are currently targeting Adults over 65’s, as hospital admission rates in the county to A&E are well above the national average following a slip, trip or a fall. Their aim is to reduce this figure by delivering our programme to people that support, work, care or volunteer with people over 65 as those with close relationships are mostly likely the best placed person to provide the first aid treatment if required.
£10 from each booking will donated directly to the Red Cross.
Refunds will only be made if at least 48 hours notice is given
