EVERYONE 4 LOVE FRIENDLY WALK AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Sat 17 June 2017, 10:30 – 16:00 BST
Men and women of the West Midlands are being invited to walk a mile with us on Saturday, 17th June 2017 from 10.30am at the Wolverhampton East Park, – all to raise awareness and take a stand against Domestic Violence. A bouncy castle will be provided for kids, a mascot and lots of games and activities for men, women & children. This event may be light hearted in its nature, but behind it is a very serious issue message.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS A CRIME. IT AFFECTS LIVES, IT AFFECTS FAMILLIES.
DON’T BE A PART OF THE PROBLEM, BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION!
1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violence.
Through this walk, we hope to encourage those who may be suffering in silence to have the courage to come forward and seek support. We also seek to encourage local residents to pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
On the day, there will be a number of games and activities for everyone including children activities such as football, Zumba dance party ,a tug of war, egg and spoon races, Minnie and Peppa pig look alike will be there as well. There will be a football tournament for younger children and adults. If you would like your child to take part in the football tournament please get in touch with us.
