To mark its tenth anniversary in 2015, Evidence & Policy launched a new annual prize in memory of Professor Carol Weiss, the journal’s first North American Editor and a pioneer in the field. The prize offers an opportunity to recognise and reward the successes of outstanding early career contributors to the journal and comprises books from the publisher Policy Press to the value of £100. The winning paper Factors that impact how civil society organisations perceive evidence by William Allen (Centre on Migration, Policy, and Society (COMPAS) University of Oxford) is freely available until 31 December 2016 and promoted widely by Policy Press.
A free seminar chaired by Annette Boaz and hosted by Evidence & Policy will be held at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford on 30th November, chaired by Annette Boaz. The prize will be presented by Ewan Ferlie, Chair of the Board. It will be followed by a wine reception provided by Policy Press.
