You might have seen Ewan Bleach previously here at BRISTOL 1904 ARTS perform and lead at several sell-out events in 2022, 2023 and 2024 with the amazing Frog & Henry band from the USA. Well we are thrilled to announce his return here to BRISTOL 1904 ARTS with his own UK band on Friday 7th November, 2025. So much looking forward to that !!!
Ewan Bleach is a London-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, bandleader, teacher, and session musician. A renowned specialist in ragtime, early jazz, swing, and music for 'dancing and romancing', he brings deep knowledge and infectious energy to every show.
Ewan leads The Cable Street Rag Band and The Fleeting Paradise Orchestra, and collaborates with internationally acclaimed groups such as Frog & Henry, Tuba Skinny, and Whiskey Moon Face. His performances span all ensemble sizes—from the intimate wizardry of his solo double-clarinet playing to the sweeping, transportée sound of his twelve-piece orchestra. Audiences are routinely captivated by the world he creates: nostalgic yet fresh, rooted in tradition - yet unmistakably his own.
He celebrates the upcoming release of his debut album, MYSTIC MOOD —a collection of otherworldly compositions that feel like transmissions from forgotten futures and parallel pasts. The Melodies conjure cryptic romances and antique enchantments, moving to rhythms entirely their own. Jazzy in a pre-bop fashion, yet shaped by Ewan’s journeys into wider musical realms, these Pieces carry the twists and turns of an artist in full command of his musical voice.

This event is open to both club members and the public but we are a small intimate venue - just 110 seats - so tickets are a first come, first served basis.
