Join us for a FREE and exclusive Hour of Code workshop with CodeMonkey!
Over the past three years, the Hour of Code has introduced 100 million students in over 180 countries to computer science. Technology is transforming every industry on the planet, and computing is now the #1 source of new wages in the US. But 75% of schools don’t teach computer science. The teacher-powered Hour of Code movement is changing that—breaking stereotypes around coding and sending the message that anybody can learn.
The Hour of Code will take place during Computer Science Education Week, December 5-11, 2016. To warm up our engines we are happy to invite you to an exclusive Hour of Code family workshop with CodeMonkey's CEO Jonathan Schor!
Where: WeWork Brooklyn Heights, NY.
When: Saturday December 3rd between 11am-1pm.
Who should come: 1. Kids ages 8 and up and their parents! 2. Teachers that want to learn how to use CodeMonkey in the classroom.
What should you bring: Laptop + charger, or tablet (relatively new - from the past 2 years).
How much does cost? IT'S FREE!
In this workshop we will learn why we need to learn to code, what kind of jobs we can work in if we know coding, and of course play CodeMonkey's award winning coding game!
