Executive Function: Supporting Your Child's Focus and Organisation Skills
Overview
Join us for this online session exploring executive function. During the session we will think about strategies to support with:
- Inhibition: The ability to control impulses and ignore distractions.
- Planning and Prioritising: Being able to set goals and working out the steps to achieve them.
- Working Memory: The ability to hold information in your mind over a short period of time.
- Self-Regulation: The ability to regulate and stay on task in stressful situations e.g. not giving up when frustrated.
- Attention: Attention is generally influenced by two other executive function skills; inhibition and self regulation.
