Exercise Swift Vanguard 1 2025

By LB Camden

Overview

Join us at Exercise Swift Vanguard 1 2025! Making Camden a more resilient Borough

This exercise is a real-time test of our arrangements for an emergency rest centre. This is a facility Camden Council would set up in the event that large numbers of residents are evacuated from their homes.

We are asking for up to 60 volunteers to play the part of evacuated residents. This will help us make the exercise as realistic as possible.

We have three aims:

1. To test how the Council moves emergency stock to the emergency rest centre and the time it takes to set up equipment

2.To test the Council's arrangements for transport of evacuees from a single location to the emergency rest centre

3. To test the Council's arrangements for the welcome, registration and immediate welfare including feeding of evacuees at the emergency rest centre

Your participation is key to helping us test our arrangements to ensure they are effective in the event of a major emergency in the Borough.
