Exercising with shoulder pain
In this workshop we will be looking at how to encourage better range of motion at the shoulder joint and how to warm up correctly before strenuous activities like badminton and tennis.
We will also explore how to stabilize the shoulder girdle during heavy lifts like bench press and complex body weight exercises like hand stands and advanced Yoga asanas.
In the 2nd hour we will be looking at designing specific stretching and exercise based rehabilitation programs to treat the following conditions:
-Rotator cuff tears
This class is designed to empower fitness trainers, Yoga and Pilates instructors to work safely with clients who need to exercise but suffer from shoulder injuries. You will also learn how to work closely with physiotherapists and follow up with post treatment shoulder rehabilitation.
