Exeter College Presents: Assertiveness, a one day workshop to improve your skills and confidence in speaking up for yourself. All abilities welcome.
The day looks at how you can learn skills which will help you to communicate confidently and honestly with others. The course is useful for anyone who wants to develop their personal and professional relationships with more open communication. A chance to improve your skills and confidence in speaking up for yourself. All abilities welcome.
To include discussions, experiential exercises, practicing skills and some written exercises. You will be encouraged to take responsibility for your own learning with the tutor's support and guidance.
Course Tutor Profile
The day long course is run by Exeter College Tutor and Team Leader Tom Howe. He teaches on a range of outdoor education courses and he also manages the college’s Ten Tors teams. Away from college he operates a small coaching company which specialises in outdoor pursuits.
Tom started off his career in the British Armed Forces before coming to the College and has a wide range of experience leading teams and in various environments. He is passionate about empowering people and building their confidence so they can feel more calm and positive about communicating with others in a range of settings.
Lunch break is 12:30-13:00
