Event Details

Minecraft has unlocked the power for anyone to create their own world, but can it be used to help shape the future of our cities? In this meetup Minecrafters are invited to come and discuss how the game can be used to not only replicate the places in which we live, but ways in which it can be used to make them better.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own creations, and share their experiences of building places in Minecraft - big or small, realistic or fantastic, we want to hear how you’ve realised your own world visions. Come together to swap Minecraft tips and tricks or just to connect with other Minecrafters in Exeter and the region in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Exeter City Futures is exploring ways to use Open Data to recreate Exeter in Minecraft and offer citizens a blank canvas to build their vision of what Exeter could look like in 2025. This meetup will also look for feedback on how Minecrafters from across region can get involved.

The City Futures Space in Minecaft

Under 16s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. A big screen will be available with a HDMI connector but attendees must bring their own laptop. Drinks and snacks provided.
