Related Training: Understanding Trauma Across the Nervous System
Trauma does not impact just one area of life. It affects how the brain processes threat, how the nervous system regulates safety, and how the body responds to stress over time.
While Trauma, the Brain & Recovery provides a foundational understanding of trauma and its neurobiological effects, some participants find it helpful to explore specific areas in more depth as part of their recovery or professional learning.
Depending on your experiences or interests, you may also find the following sessions supportive:
• Narcissism, the Brain & Recovery – exploring the neurological and nervous-system impact of prolonged relational trauma and narcissistic abuse
• Insomnia, the Brain & Recovery – examining how trauma and chronic stress disrupt sleep and how regulation can support restoration
• Nervous System Reset – a practical, neuroscience-informed session focused on regulation, grounding, and moving the body out of survival mode
Each session is educational in nature and designed to complement — rather than replace — the understanding developed in this course.

"The C-PTSD course clarified why I have been feeling the way I do. It helped me make sense of physical symptoms and emotional overwhelm through recognising C-PTSD as an issue with the brain and that my emotional and physical recovery & healing cannot be forced. I have gained awareness to be patient and compassionate with myself in taking time to recover. I appreciated being able to ask questions that were relevant to me and to hear responses from other attendees. It was valuable to learn about the impact of C-PTSD on their lives and their physical experiences too." Wendy F. Coach & Author (

"I have C-PTSD and wanted to understand more the neuroscience and treatment approaches – I have yet to find a therapist who properly appeared to understand it. I am also training to be a hypnotherapist and wanted to understand more to be able to learn to provide therapy to people with C-PTSD. I loved how the course was made available and relevant to both professionals and people with C-PTSD – it is healing and empowering to understand the neuroscience and helps survivors feel like they are in control of their journey rather than being passive recipients. I also liked how a high level of detail was given and explained, with references to further research and details for those who wished it." Anonymous
