Exhibiting Sienese Art: Research, Curation, Reflection

Join us for the 2025 Cambridge-Intesa Sanpaolo Annual Lecture, generously sponsored by Intesa Sanpaolo, and supported by the Italian Section, CIRN, and Pembroke College. The first event of this new series will see a conversation between Laura Llewellyn (Curator of Italian Paintings before 1500, The National Gallery ) and Luke Syson (Director and Marlay Curator, Fitzwilliam Museum), who will discuss the challenges, cultural significance, and legacy of exhibitions on Sienese and Early-Modern Italian art they curated in UK museums.

The event is hosted in the Old Library at Pembroke College (Trumpington Street, Cambridge) and on Zoom (booking option forthcoming), and will have the following schedule:

5:00 pm, Tea and coffee reception

5:30-7:00 pm, Lecture + Q&A

7:00 pm, Wine reception
