The York & District Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers are 65 years old and to celebrate this momentous milestone, the Guild are exhibiting some of the amazing & creative work they produce, at Poppleton Tithe Barn, Nether Poppleton, York on Saturday 4th to Monday 6th October 2025, 10am – 4pm.

The items on show are made by members of the Guild, using their core skills of weaving, spinning or dyeing; the results will enthral, captivate and inspire! Everything from woven rugs to delicate hand spun silk shawls to beautiful, dyed fibre will be on display.

Members of the Guild will be demonstrating their crafts during the exhibition and will be more than happy to chat about their skills and the Guild.

Will there be refreshments available?

Yes! There will be plenty of tea, coffee, soft drinks and of course.... CAKE!!

Will there be items available to buy?

Yes! There will be fantastic cards, keyrings, bookmarks, etc. and our amazing POMPOM SHEEP!

Are there toilets on site?

Yes! Including disabled toilets.

Will it be disability friendly?

Of course! We welcome everyone. Wheelchair access is good, including accessible toilets. Outside is a sensory garden for quiet time. There will be Guild members who can provide visual descriptions and guided assistance.
