Please join us at Greatorex to celebrate the work of the winners of this year's Freelands Painting Prize.

The Freelands Painting Prize celebrates outstanding painting practice at undergraduate level. Each year since 2020, we have invited every institution in the UK offering an undergraduate course in Fine Art or Painting to nominate a graduating student for the prize.

The 2025 Freelands Painting Prize exhibition gathers work by the nine winners of this year’s competition:

  • Mariam Alsaadi, Aberystwyth University
  • Danni Jo Barker, Birmingham School of Art, Birmingham City University
  • Ruby Cascarina, Lancaster University
  • Cain Casson, Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University
  • Siddiq Hussain, University of Wolverhampton
  • Alice Lane, City & Guilds of London Art School
  • Siobhán Morrissey, Arts University Plymouth
