Description

Event: Transatlantic Black Freedom Struggles

Description: A student-led exhibition featuring more than twenty digital projects documenting the global links between movements for racial change in the United States and United Kingdom in the 20th Century. Come and learn more about how Black British activists responded to the US Black Freedom Movement as well as built their own autonomous campaigns for social justice. This event is organized by students and staff in the History Department at the University of Manchester with support from the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre and the School of Arts, Languages, & Cultures Office of Social Responsibility.
