Description

Experience Geography at Royal Holloway with an afternoon taster session followed by a film screening in the evening.

The afternoon taster session will run from 1.30pm to 5pm. You will begin with an introduction to the department followed by a Physical Geography mini lecture. You will then have the opportunity to go on a campus tour, tour of the Geography department and attend a Human Geography seminar. The taster session will end with a presentation on life at Royal Holloway.

This will then be followed by a break with refreshments and the opportunity to speak to current students, ending the day with a film screening of 'A Cambodian Spring' and Q&A with the director Chris Kelly. There are a range of A level curriculum Human Geography topics which are covered by the film.

This event is designed for students aged 16 to 18 with no prior knowledge required. Designed to be useful for A-level course in Geography, but anyone considering Geography or Science based courses at university is welcome.
