Experience Maker Workshop
Overview
The Experience Maker Workshop is a dynamic and interactive session designed to inspire and equip you with the knowledge and confidence to create your own distinctive visitor experiences. Led by Chris Brant, the workshop will introduce you to the principles of experiential tourism, share national and international trends, and uses hands-on activities and examples to help you shape an idea that is authentic, marketable, and deliverable. It’s more than a training session — it’s a catalyst for innovation, connection, and action.
This 4hr workshop will also cover:
- Experience design principles: What makes an “Unmissable” experience
- Types of experiences to develop, including: Culture, heritage, and charming village tours (non-hiking focused), filming location visits (e.g., Pride & Prejudice, Peaky Blinders), non-alcoholic food experiences , immersive period costume experiences with themed activities (particularly appealing to Chinese and US visitors), half-day, accessible outdoor experiences, heritage railway experiences (e.g., steam train rides with afternoon tea), experiences priced under £50 and of course any great ideas that you have!
Each session will be delivered in an engaging, hands-on format to encourage creativity, collaboration, and peer learning.
