Assessment
This courses leads to NPTC Award via competency assessment. Assessment will take place separately to your training course; the date and time will be arranged directly with the NPTC.
Please supply a passport sized photograph in advance of your course for your NPTC registration. Please email a digital photo to Fiona.green@ccn.ac.uk
If you have not already done so, please inform us of any disabilities you have that may require you to have access arrangements put in place for you to take your assessment. If you have any queries about your assessment you may contact the NPTC directly on 01603 731250.
NPTC - Disabilities and Access Arrangements
Please inform us immediately, if you have not already done so, of any disabilities that may disadvantage you in successful completion of your assessment; for example if you have dyslexia or English is not your first language, or any mild disability which may require you to have some assistance. Under guidance from C&G we are able to make access arrangements for some learners to demonstrate their competence under assessment, without changing the demands of that assessment. Examples of access arrangements include: readers, scribes, extra time, or modified assessment material. However, as Certificates of Competence are vocational qualifications, candidates must achieve all the required units to gain a full qualification, and the awarding body will not make adjustments to the required competence standards.
As an example, pesticide product labels detail essential information, and it is of paramount importance that a candidate is able to read and interpret this information to comply with legislative and operational requirements. If the candidate is unable to read and/or interpret a product label without assistance then they will not be deemed competent to practice, as if such a person were working without supervision in the workplace, there is the potential for serious incident to occur.
If you would like to discuss this further or make access arrangements for your assessment, then please contact NPTC directly on 01603 731250.
