The Cambridge Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre is delighted to invite you to our open event for patients, carers, and anyone with an interest in cancer clinical trials and translational research (how lab discoveries become treatment).
Hear talks from researchers, clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and patients.
We will welcome delegates in person* and also live-stream the event for those who are overseas or unable to attend.

We will have sessions on
- Prevention and early detection of cancer, focusing on lung cancer - with Dr Frank McCaughan, Prof Robert Rintoul and team
- Blood cancer - with Prof George Vassiliou and team
- Brain cancer - with Dr Hannah Buckley and team
- Collaborating with industry (speaker to be confirmed)
- The impact of the microbiome on cancer (speaker to be confirmed)
The event will be held at the CRUK Cambridge Institute, Cambridge. If you join in person, over lunch you can visit our cancer support charity stands and posters where you can learn more about cancer detection and treatment. The lunch activities will not be live-streamed.
