Description

Industry Open Day & 40th Anniversary

On behalf of the Vice
Chancellor & President, Professor Julia Buckingham, we are delighted to invite you to a special Industry Open Day at the Experimental Techniques Centre (ETC) on Wednesday 23 October to celebrate 40 years of materials characterisation research and commercial services at the centre.

ETC was established as the Experimental Techniques Centre at Brunel University London in 1979 in purpose-built laboratories designed to accommodate its world-class instrumentation and equipment. It serves the research needs of the University across a wide range of disciplines including bioscience, chemistry, metallurgy and mechanical and civil engineering, but from its inception has always had a mission to serve the needs of industry. ETC can therefore demonstrate a successful track record of collaboration and assistance to commercial and a variety of external organisations.

The event on Wednesday 23 October is an opportunity to:

Learn about and tour ETC’s outstanding research and facilities

Meet our team of highly trained and qualified staff and discuss your own characterisation and measurement requirements

Learn more about the analytical techniques that might be of value to your organisation

Find out more about the external funding available to help you work with ETC and Brunel University London in the future

Representatives will be present from Brunel Research Support, from the National Centre for Universities and Business’ ‘konfer’ initiative, and from the Co-Innovate EC project to assist SMEs. Attendees can talk to them during and after the networking lunch provided.
