Accepted Answer

I am sorry, I cannot refund your ticket but in exceptional circumstances, will offer you a space on a different Textile & Mixed Media Sunday, currently scheduled for 07/07/2024, subject to availability.

Question 2

Do I have to have an experience in Textiles/Visual Arts?

Accepted Answer

No, not at all, all levels are welcome. I hope you will find this day inspiring regardless of your technical skills or art background.

Question 3

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring scraps of  fabric or garments or objects that you would like to transform but this is totally optional as we will have a lot of free  materials to chose from.

Question 4

Do I have to finish my work during this session? Will I be able to work on it in a future?

Accepted Answer

You may or may not finish your piece- this will depend on your intention and ambition. I hope that this session will stimulate you to continue your textile& mixed media practice in your own time or you may even decide to come back to my future workshops.

Question 5

Will I learn traditional textile skills such as quilt making or machine embroidery?

Accepted Answer

I am afraid not. The focus of this sessions is to be experimental and creative, to think outside the box, to create new narratives by assembling preloved surfaces and objects. We will use traditional techniques such as stitching, model making etc, depending on what you want to do.
