Jake Williams is a composer, DJ, scholar and educator whose practice intersects digital turntablism, soundscape composition, noise, dub and club music. Manipulating a diverse range of audio materials including field recordings, internet rips, damaged vinyl, Shazam and his own studio productions, he creates edge-of-your-seat improvised DJ performances that draw discursive links between various experimental and dancefloor music cultures and often explore the politics of public music-playing.

He cut his teeth playing live electronics with the Warp-signed avant-jazz band Red Snapper, alongside creating music and sound design for major TV shows and the occasional well-received techno record.

Multi-disciplinary artist and performer, Tansy Spinks’ practice includes photography, sound, video, drawing, painting, text based and written works.

She received her PhD researching site-specific sound as a performative practice from LCC, (CRiSAP), University of the Arts London, with David Toop, Angus Carlyle and Cathy Lane.

She has been a regular member of The London Improvisers Orchestra, the weekly London Improvisation Workshop (with Eddie Prevost) and has performed in many alternative venues such as Café Oto, Iklectik, South London Gallery, Beaconsfield, Hundred Years Gallery, Whitstable Biennale fringe and for many promoters such as Ad Lib, Konsztrukting Soundz, Avant Garden, Cozy Nook, Jazz Rumours, Luft, Flim Flam, Babble & Squeak, The Instant Orchestra (Latitude) and The Sound Bureau, playing alongside many notable performers of live improvisation, on violin, objects and with voice.
