Dive into an insightful 121 session with Mark Hadley, Innovation Advisor from the University of Brighton to:


  • take a deep dive into your businesses needs and objectives
  • find out how to manage innovation ideas from concept to value
  • explore opportunities to access university expertise
  • develop a workable and effective action plan
  • how to access innovation funding

Choose from a selection of times to suit you. Once you have registered for this event, we will pass your name and email address onto Mark, who will be in touch to confirm the meeting arrangements. Note that, to ensure you get the most out of the session, you will be given a short questionnaire to complete ahead of the meeting so that Mark has some initial details of your organisation to enable him to prepare in advance of the session and make the best use of your time at the Clinic. This will be done by sending you a Google Form with a few questions on it, which you full in and return automatically.

These sessions will be held in-person at the BIPC, 1st floor of Jubilee Library in a meeting Pod.

Expert biography

Mark is the founder of multiple environmental and tech businesses, an author, global speaker, government advisor and expert in business development. Specialist areas include; Start-up development, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and Strategic Planning, Waste Management/Minimization/Logistics and Recycling, Environmental Risk, Auditing, Liability and Due Diligence. Mark has been working with the University of Brighton for a few years predominantly working with relationships between different organisations and the University of Brighton, he is a full-time innovation advisor within the Knowledge Exchange Team.

This in-person 121 session will take place at the BIPC on the 1st floor at Jubilee Library, Brighton

Following the session, the expert will send you a feedback form which we would be grateful if you could complete to allow us to monitor the success of our offered expert 121s.

All our expert one-to-one meetings on offer are free, but places are limited as our business expert partners are giving their valuable time to the BIPC and to you for free while fitting these sessions into their busy schedule. Therefore, if you need to cancel the session, to give a chance for others to still book it, please give at least two working days’ notice when possible via:

  • email to bipc@brighton-hove.gov.uk, or
  • cancelling your booking on Eventbrite, or
  • email/call to the business expert.

What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing bipc@brighton-hove.co.uk.

Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
