Description

Following a successful training event in July 2017, the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) is hosting a further one-day-training event focusing on the handling of expert witnesses. The syllabus has been created in consultation with a number of Specialists Bar Associations (SBAs).

The course is suitable for Practitioners over 4 years’ call with:

• A financial/commercial practice (dealing with economic expert evidence)

• A medical expert practice (dealing with forensic psychiatric evidence)


Keynote speakers are Derek Wood CBE QC, Professor David Ormerod QC and Sarah Whitehouse QC will also provide a demonstration.

The course will include a case study dealing with either economic or psychiatric expert evidence, lectures, case analysis, a conference with, and cross-examination of real experts.

This event is equivalent to 8.5 hours CPD. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Training places are limited to 24 tickets per specialist area (i.e. expert accounting or forensic psychiatry).
