Spotlight's Ellie Samuels is in conversation with David Thackeray, one of the UK's leading and most experienced Intimacy Coordinators, working across multiple networks including Disney and Netflix. Notable projects include Heartstopper and Sex Education, dramas that have cast a number of our Spotlight Young Performers over recent years. David will talk us through what his role involves, in particular when working with young actors, and how and why it has become so significant in the production and filming process over recent years.

About David:

David trained as an actor at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and now as an Actor, Director and one of the industry's leading Intimacy Coordinators, he holds a wealth of experience in all three roles, and across notable productions on stage and screen. As an intimacy coordinator this work includes stage productions at The Bridge and The Orange Tree, and on screen productions for HBO, NETFLIX, BBC, Disney, Channel 4 and Amazon Prime; most notably Heartstopper, Sex Education, It's a Sin, White Lotus and Industry.
