Event description

Description

This information session will discuss about European Researcher Night and ways in which you can get involved. Lunch will be provided.

European Researchers’ Night
European researchers’ night is a celebration of research and researchers which takes place all across Europe on the last Friday in September. The events take the form of large scale public engagement events where we invite the public to share in current research and see the impact that is has.

Getting Involved
We’d like as many researchers as possible to get involved. It is an excellent environment to showcase your work to the public, the media and other researchers. A call for proposals will launch on the 6th of June and run until the 11th of July. Last year we had almost every School and Institute represented with over 300 University of Glasgow researchers taking part, a success which we hope to replicate going forward.

The information session will guide you through the event process and let you know how you can become involved, giving you the opportunity as ask questions before you submit your ideas. It is recommended for anyone who has not been involved before or is planning to upscale their involvement.

The event will take place in the Gilbert Scott Conference Suite room 356 Lunch will be provided. if you have any questions please contact Jamie Gallagher
