Explorathon Glasgow: Hunterian Uncovered Anatomy Tour
Join us at The Hunterian for an exclusive talk and tour of our Anatomy Museum. This tour is part of Explorathon Scotland 2016, an extravaganza of debate and entertainment taking place across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cromarty and Aberdeen to celebrate European Researchers' Night.
Built from the collection of Dr William Hunter, the Anatomy Museum houses a unique collection of medical teaching material from the 1700s on. During the tour, we will be exploring the history of Dr Hunter, anatomical modelling and the place for dissection in society. There will also be a short talk from one of our Hunterian Associates, Ianto Jocks, who will be discussing his project investigating the life and collections of Dr John Cleland. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
Please note that unfortunately, due to the layout of the Anatomy Museum stairs are an unavoidable part of this tour so the event is not wheelchair friendly. Due to the content of this tour it is recommended for participants 16 and over.
