Explorations in Creative Learning
Mon 13 March 2017, 18:00 – 19:00 GMT
The Guildhall-Barbican Creative Learning department discusses projects which extend the boundaries of performance practice and explore different creative processes. In this ResearchWorks session Jo Gibson will outline her music-making research process with adults facing addiction and looking after young people.
PhD researcher at The International Centre for Community Music and tutor at Guildhall School, Jo is currently exploring questions related to music facilitation through a Practice-as-Research strategy. With a commitment to deepening understanding between practice and theory, her research focuses on facilitator experience, approaches to facilitation, and togetherness.
In this session, Jo will invite attendees to join the conversation to explore current practice and debate in socially-engaged art and participatory practice.
