Description

Explorations Supper:

A new series of ‘Seminar Suppers’ hosted by St Marylebone Healing & Counselling Centre. On arrival you will be greeted with a glass of wine or alternative and we will then hear from our speaker. After sharing a simple meal, there will be a hosted discussion and question and answer session, or similar, on the topic of the evening.

Voice Hearing

What it is like to hear voices that no-one else can hear?
Usually associated with severe mental illness such as schizophrenia and psychosis, voice-hearing is now being recognised as an important aspect of many ordinary people’s lives.

Christopher Cook is a professor in the Department of Theology at Durham University, where he is Director of the Project for Spirituality, Theology & Health. He is a member of the core research team for the “Hearing the Voice Project” and is interested in the spiritual and religious ways in which people interpret and cope with their experiences of voice hearing.
