Explore Day at Seddon

The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter are delighted to be hosting an Explore Day at Seddon, a Member of the Charter. Seddon is the UK’s largest privately owned and family managed contracting business and provides end to end construction and development services for customers across the North West and Midlands regions.

During this Explore Day we will take a small group of employers to visit Seddon's office to learn about their Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity journey. The session will include:

• The Refresh and Relaunch of Seddon's EDI policy and Anti-Harassment Policies

• Their journey, the challenges and myths of EDI – the business benefits

• The construction challenge and gender pay gap

• EDI Leadership

• Seddon's work around the Employment Rights Bill

• Internal case studies

Attendees will be expected to make their own way to and from the event and will meet at Plodder Lane, Bolton, BL4 0NN. Parking instructions will be sent in advance.

Who is this event for?

This event is for registered Supporters and Members only and aimed at those with people managing roles or those who can affect change within their organisation. Attendance will initially limited to one person per organisation due to the small group size.

Explore Days

Explore Days are a unique opportunity to hear how other organisations approach their 'people practice', overcome common employment challenges and gain new ideas on practice.

Waitlist

There will be a waitlist for this event once it reaches capacity. Places often become available so we recommend registering to join the waitlist and we will contact you if a space becomes free.

If you are allocated a place from the waitlist, you must email events@gmgoodemploymentcharter.co.uk within 3 days to accept your place. If we do not hear from you within this time, we will assume you do not wish to attend and will release your place to another person on the waitlist.
