Event description
Visit 12 North Street to find out about life in days gone by, enjoy our exhibitions and experience the tranquillity of our hidden gardens.

About this Event

We are situated in a lovely 16th century house in the heart of the town’s old fisher quarter, a stone’s throw from both the Castle and the Cathedral.

Our reconstructed Victorian shops, Great-Grannies wash-house and social history displays will transport you back in time. We have an extensive, tranquil 'hidden' garden to the rear of the house that is home to an array of gorgeous plants and exhibits that are truly good for the soul.

For 2020 we are delighted to host the exhibition, Moving Jamaica, in our First Floor gallery. Curated by Dr Susan Mains of the University of Dundee, this exciting exhibition of unique historical and contemporary photographs provides a rare opportunity to explore past, present and future cultural landscapes of Jamaica and their Scottish connections.
