About this event

As part of the 2025 Heritage Open Days Festival , join us for a free guided exploration of the Battlements of St Mawes Castle. The tour will take place off the premises and you will receive free entry to the castle afterwards. The tour will take place on 18 September at 1:00 pm and will last 1.5 hours. Please meet at the entrance to the castle. Booking is essential

St Mawes Castle and its sister fortress Pendennis Castle were built by Henry VIII to guard the important anchorage of Carrick Roads. You’ll get wonderful views of the sea and passing ships from the battlements.
