Led by the amazing Jaylon, this immersive journey will explore the core foundations of acting to help build confidence —from voice and movement to character development and inner child work. Each week builds on the last, giving you the confidence, technique, and creative tools to bring your authentic self to life, whether on stage, in front of the camera, work or meeting new people.

🔹 What to Expect:
Week 1: Introduction to performance (April 30th)
- 1. Explore Breath, Grounding, and Connection
- a. Introduction to the core tenets of performance
- i. Breath / Grounding - connecting the breath to the body, grounding yourself, & vocalising by releasing the breath
- ii. Connection - What does it mean to actively listen to your partner? Actively!
- `Observe their body language, breath and tone, and respond to not just what they say, but what they “be.”
Week 2 - Playing / Movement (May 14th)
- Exploring inner child
- Movement in the space
- Freeing yourself of inhibition
Week 3 - Analysing Text (May 28th)
- How to breakdown and script
- Find the shifts
- How to breakdown and character: Who/ What/ When/ Where/ How
- Where are they coming from & where are they going?
- Get the scene on its feet
- Be comfortable with being uncomfortable
Week 4 - Explore Scenes from Screen (June 11th)
- What do we see?
- What are differences in acting for screen and acting for stage
- Explore our essence on camera
Week 5 - Practice filming a dialogue (June 25th)
- Breakdown the scene
- Play with the scene
- Film the scene
