About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Join Kent Wildlife Trust for the final guided walk of the season at Pegwell Bay, Kent’s largest coastal reserve.

This event is the perfect opportunity to explore the rich natural history and wildlife of this stunning coastal wetland while learning how you can help protect coastal and marine wildlife this autumn.

Led by our knowledgeable warden, the walk will uncover the fascinating species and habitats that make Pegwell Bay unique, explain how the reserve is managed to support biodiversity, and highlight the challenges facing coastal wildlife today. As we stroll along the coast path we will keep our eyes out for harbour seals, migratory birds and even our resident highland cows.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL

Some paths are narrow with rough terrain and will require use of stairs and kissing gate not suitable for wheelchair users. Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear (during periods of wet weather waterproof footwear is advisable) and wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions. PLEASE BRING BINNOCULARS IF YOU HAVE THEM.

Families are welcome but children must be supervised. Dogs must be on leads.

There are toilets at the main entrance to Pegwell Bay Country Park.
